God is working in Plainville Connecticut through Church Army USA. Below are some commentary on events that took place in 2023. We are excited to see where God will take us in 2024.
Thank you for praying for the community outreach for Holy Trinity Church in CT. We had a table at the Fair, shared about Jesus and prayed with people there. We had many conversations and growth in the members of Holy Trinity as they get/got more comfortable with outreach.
Saturday Night Post:
“Sooo many prayers tonight. Prayers for jobs, for folks suffering and healing, many through the disease of cancer.
For a father who said he lost his six month old child who died, he knows she is in heaven, but please pray for my other two young children (all 7 and younger).
For a woman’s daughter-n-law facing cancer for a third time; and knows God will heal her again.
We met the husband of a tarot card reader and he asked us so many questions about the Bible. Very inquisitive. We talked mostly of the Old Testament.
We had a couple of children from different families who wanted an Olive wood cross not for themselves but for their grand parent (Grand parents your grandchildren are watching your relationship and love of our Lord!).
We had a grandmother with her grand child who was happy to receive some free life savors and stickers together, but when I offered a cross she said she couldn’t because she is Muslim, I believe she felt our love for her and her grand son.
We had a man who lives with adult autism come over five times(even getting a little overwhelmed), finally asking if he could have prayer for joy. What a gift to pray for them.
We have had 11 volunteers serve at our table so far, and we have tomorrow yet!
We also had three vets who came by, I think each of them for their service and welcome two of them home who had served in Vietnam. as we have one more day at the table please pray for us tomorrow God is so good.”
Over the entire three day weekend we had fifteen volunteers, three joining in on multiple days, two who have never served at this fair before.
We shared winter green and peppermint Lifesavers along with multi flavored candy Lifesavers. Approximately 75 Olive wooden crosses, our daily bread was offered along with who I am in Christ, book marks, and our business cards. We also had Bibles on hand to share if anyone wanted them. We had smiley face and hearts stickers for children and our large sandwich style sign standing next to our Farm themed table (the fair has a theme each year) that asks How May we pray for you? That invites folks to be prayed for even before a verbal invitation. Along with balloons and decorations.
On the last day we thanked two more folks for their service, we had two low function people come by in their wheel chairs with their aides who, the aides wanted and helped the young man and young lady receive a cross and the young lady receive a sticker which in return earned a huge smile(oh my heart!). We had one couple come by and mention that they are just retired and they wanted to stop by on Wednesday for the service. They had many questions about the church and its liturgy and seeing if it was scripture based. We are hoping to see them this Wednesday. It was common to point out where our church was in Plainville right next to the library. It was one of the first questions. Most people asked when they came to our table is where is your church? Some people asked what is an Anglican. We also have many prayers written down to continue in lifting this community to God.

Make it stand out.

Dream it.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
